What are the benefits of

Online Personal Training?

Clients will not need to pay extra for our mobile app. Once signed up, clients will receive a link to download the app and set up a profile. We recommend all clients download the app as soon as possible, as it will be used to deliver programs, track progress, view exercise videos/calendar, and communicate with the trainer.

About 3-5 days. We want to get you set up, motivated, and working out as soon as possible. Once you sign up for a program, the next step is to complete a virtual assessment (preferably within 3 business days). Once your assessment is complete, we aim to have your personalized program designed and posted within 48 hours.

We encourage client and trainer communication, as we believe it is an important part of training success. In order to provide exceptional service and to communicate with our our clients efficiently, we offer a variety of methods to reach your trainer.

Instant Message: Clients have the ability to message the trainer through the app 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. During our normal administrative business hours (M-F 9a-3p Central Time), we strive to respond as soon as possible, within a few hours. Outside of business hours, we aim to respond within 24 hours. 

Phone call: Each phone call should be a scheduled appointment. Clients can choose to schedule weekly or bi-weekly check-in calls for the duration of their training.

E-mail: Clients also have the option to send one check-in e-mail per week. All e-mails will be answered by the trainer on a weekly basis.

We want our clients to enjoy the benefits of long term success and for this reason, do not offer specific, short term meal plans. Instead, we empower our clients with nutrition education and positive accountability by providing information on caloric intake, meal and menu suggestions, tips on meal preparation, grocery shopping, and ways to improve current diet and food choices. Our nutrition education is designed to equip our clients with the resources they need to eat healthier in a long term, sustainable way. 

Though meal plans may be appropriate for a select few, they are unnecessary for most people and they are often short lived for several reasons (unrealistic for social gatherings/frequent travel/prep time/budget/personal taste in foods). Most meal plans are meant to be temporary and can sometimes take the enjoyment out of eating amongst other things. We believe in helping our clients take realistic, long lasting steps to improving their diet by making small improvements to their current diet, one step at a time. 

*Trainers at TFF are not Registered Dietitians and will not provide medically based nutritional advice, or prescribe detailed nutrition programs as it is outside of the personal training scope of practice.

A gym membership is not needed to train with us. Many of our clients prefer to workout from home or travel frequently and choose not to have a gym membership. Whether you have access to a wide variety of fitness equipment in a gym setting, minimal equipment in a home setting, or no equipment at all in a travel setting, we can customize your program based on your goals and will only include the equipment you have access to. We do occasionally recommend that some clients purchase bands, balls, or other pieces of equipment that may benefit their program.

Our programs are ideal for those who travel, as our workouts are custom designed to each individual client’s needs. Let us know when you will be out of town, and we can provide you with workouts you can do from anywhere.

The length of time you train with us will depend on what your fitness goals are and where you are starting from. A client who wants to freshen up their current routine will not require as much training time as a client who is unfit and looking to get back into shape or to lose a significant amount of weight. We also have clients who come to us with a pre-determined timeframe and are preparing for upcoming events like weddings or reunions. Some very busy clients simply prefer the ongoing convenience of having tailored workouts ready for them when they hit the gym. We offer month to month programs to accommodate the many different needs of our clients.

We aim to provide high quality personal training to busy clients who are serious about getting fit. We expect all clients to persistently give their best effort in their workouts and in leading a healthier lifestyle. Before you sign up for a program, consider the following:

When online training may be a great fit: 

  • You want access to an experienced personal trainer regardless of location/schedule.
  • You are willing to work for your fitness, without the use of quick-fix, fad fitness programs and diets.
  • You are committed to prioritizing fitness in your schedule.
  • You are motivated to complete and track workouts and to make changes to your diet.

When to consider ‘in-person’ or ‘hands-on’ training:

While online training offers many benefits over conventional in-person training, what it lacks is ‘real-time’ correction of form and immediate response to questions that might arise during workouts. We try to accommodate for this by sending detailed how-to-videos, giving technique feedback on client videos, and answering questions as soon as possible. However, hands-on training may be a better fit for brand new beginners to exercise who struggle with form, those who have serious health conditions or balance problems, and those who severely lack motivation. If you’re unsure about what type of training would best suit your needs, contact us as we’d love to help you get started down the right path. 

True Function Fitness offers clients the freedom to train month to month without the commitment of long term contracts. If at any point, you choose to discontinue training, you may cancel your recurring dues in writing up to 10 days before the next billing date. If the request is made after this date, payment for the next month of training will remain due and the cancellation request will be applied to all months thereafter.

While we aim to do our best at motivating and directing our clients to reach their goals, online personal training requires a certain level of commitment from the client in order to be successful. We understand that our program is not a fit for everyone, and we offer a transparent and uncomplicated refund policy to new clients.

New Clients Only: If for any reason you are not satisfied with our services within the initial 14 days of your program, a start up fee of $80 will be deducted from the refund and we will cancel all upcoming monthly dues. There will be NO refunds after the new client initial 14 day period.
